The Arts

God is the ultimate Creator and His creativity is displayed in nature and in humankind as His creatures. Every student is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and, because of this, they deserve to be respected and valued as they explore the gifts that God has given them. (Psalm 147:7)

Annandale Christian College provides students with the opportunity to explore the spectrum of creative and performing arts from K-12 through the regular classroom teacher and specialist teachers and faculties.

Our Art Department has regular Art Expos and is involved in the Artist-in-Schools program in conjunction with local galleries. Students are also encouraged to participate in various art competitions.

Our Music Department offers students the opportunity to be involved in the worship team, ensembles, musical soirees and external music competitions.

Our Drama Department offers opportunities to be involved in performances on Assembly and occasional community events.

A strong program of attendance to art galleries, musical performance, theatre and arts workshops are at the core of our arts education across the curriculum.

Annandale Christian College has a rich history of musicals that combine all three of The Arts. “Who’s in Charge?”, “It Would Take A Miracle” and “A String of Pearls” are just three of the original musicals, written by members of the school community, Mr Stephen Frewen-Lord and Dr Geoff Ward, and produced in local theatres involving every student in the primary school.

In more recent years, the college has produced licensed musicals such as "Pilgrim" in 2013, "Esther" in 2015, “Where Jesus Walked” in 2017 and "Friends Forever" in 2019.

Biennial in-house productions called ACC Presents also allow the Music, Art and Drama departments to showcase student work.
