Curriculum

The curriculum at Annandale Christian College caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 12. Whilst actively fostering a ‘one school’ approach, the College recognises four sub-schools based on the current Queensland curriculum and good teaching practice. These are Kindergarten, Primary School - Preparatory to Year 7; Junior Secondary – Years 8 to 10; and the Senior Secondary which consists of students in Years 11 and 12 who are preparing for their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Senior Statement.
Annandale Christian College is registered by the Queensland Non-State School Accreditation Board (NSSAB), which allows us to receive Government funding (with the exception of Kindergarten) and regular Cyclical Reviews of our curriculum and policies are undertaken with the NSSAB for quality assurance.
Learning and, therefore, the curriculum at Annandale is about whole of life - for now and the future. Students are challenged from their early experiences to see all of Creation, including themselves, as valued by God. They are encouraged to see all of life as of interest to God and that Biblical principles can be used to address any area of life. Students are encouraged to develop habits for life-long learning based on an integrated Christian worldview.
