Learning Enrichment
Every classroom at Annandale Christian College places a strong emphasis on the development of literacy and numeracy skills within broad and stimulating programs that provide a wide range of learning opportunities for students in our care.
At times, however, some students may need further differentiation or adjustments to their program in order to optimise their learning. To this end, the College is developing a Learning Enrichment program utilising the skills of a teacher, teacher-aides and volunteers who provide a range of support (including special needs, early intervention, support-a-reader and behaviour management programs) both inside and outside the regular classroom. Although this Learning Enrichment Program is small, with finite resources, the dedicated staff work under the premise that all students can achieve their God-given potential in a positive educational environment that targets students’ interests, channels their energies, develops their abilities and allows learning to take place at the student’s own developmental rate.
At all times our staff work in partnership with parents, assisting them to liaise with other relevant professionals, explaining and organising necessary paperwork, so that understanding and cooperation among all parties provide the best chance for success for the students.
