Library
The Library (Resource Centre) at Annandale Christian College plays a vital role in the total educational program of the school. The goal of the Library is to provide a range of services and resources that meet the needs of the curriculum and the interest and abilities of students, teachers, and parents.
Hours of Opening
The Library is open from 8.40 am until 3.30 pm Monday to Friday (with the exception of Morning Tea breaks i.e.10.30am – 10.50am daily) and caters for all students Kindergarten to Year 12.
Library Lessons
Students from Prep to Year 7 have a timetabled Library lesson each week and classes from Year 8 to Year 12 come to the Library in class time in small groups (with a teacher) or individually. In the early part of the year, our Kindergarten children borrow from a collection of Library books chosen by their class teacher but, as they grow more confident in the College setting, they too make regularly weekly visits to the Library.
Lunchtime Supervision
At lunchtimes students are free to come to the Library to do individual research, borrow, browse, use the internet, meet their friends, play with an assortment of games and, at times, help with jobs in the library.
