Board
The Board of Directors of Annandale Christian College is made up of Christian men and women who are members of the company, Townsville Christian Education Association Limited (the ‘Association’), a not-for-profit Public company limited by guarantee.
A maximum of nine (9) directors are elected by the financial members of the Association at its Annual General Meeting (held in April each year) for a term of three years. These directors bring a broad range of gifts and professional expertise to their role of governance of an educational institution. Directors may be re elected for further terms of three years as outlined in the Constitution.
The Board sees its role as broad oversight – i.e. setting the future Vision of the College and planning towards its realisation, matters of policy and direction-setting for the Principal, and empowering the Principal and staff to deliver outcomes within the boundaries set by those policies.
The day-to-day management of a College like Annandale is a challenging task and the Board appreciates the relationship it has with the Principal built on trust, transparency and dialogue over important issues. The College has been blessed with a quality Leadership Team (Principal, Head of Primary, Head of Secondary, Curriculum Coordinator and Business Manager) that has been entrusted with the task of implementing set policies and plans.
