Frequently Asked Questions

A Child Safe Organisation is one that actively creates a culture, adopts strategies, and implements practices to keep children safe from harm. This includes meeting the Queensland Child Safe Standards.

All reports are treated seriously and confidentially. Our Child Protection Officers will assess the concern and take appropriate action in line with legal obligations and college policy.

All staff, volunteers, and anyone working with children at our college must hold a valid Blue Card as part of Queensland’s screening requirements.

You can speak directly to any staff member, contact our Child Protection Officers via phone and you can also report concerns through child.safety@acc.qld.edu.au or anonymously via the letterbox at the front of the Administration building.

All staff complete mandatory child protection training annually, including updates on reporting obligations and strategies for creating safe environments.
