*What is the definition of an essential worker?
An essential worker is someone who provides essential services and who is unable to work from home. This includes but is not limited to doctors, nurses and other front-line medical staff, retail workers, haulage drivers and police officers.
Secondary Parents please note:
We had an exceptional response to our practice trial run of online learning with over 80% of all Secondary students successfully logging into their Care Class Test course. Teachers are now in the process of following up students who did not access the course. Please note that the quiz is open until COB Friday afternoon, so it’s not too late for your child to log in to the course and complete the quiz. If you do so, please email your Care teacher to let them know.
In further preparation for starting online learning from the 31st January- 4th February, please see the documents below:
- Learning From Home Guide (Revised 2022)
- Protocols For Online Learning- Student
I encourage you to read through these documents before accessing online classes next Monday.
Parent Access to Canvas Courses
We have been planning for parents to gain access to Canvas for a while now but unfortunately there have been a number of interruptions and challenges discovered in trials for us to be able to do this just yet. In order to ensure that the ease with which parents can access Canvas is at a high quality, we are going to begin the trial for those parents with children in Year 6 and 10 at the start of Term 2, with all parents getting access at the start of Term 3 if all goes well with the trial. In the interim, parents can still access courses by using their child’s credentials.
If you have any questions, or in need of assistance, please contact the Secondary office.
